Dr. Lisa Giarrusso

Education & Experience

Dr. Lisa Giarrusso, very affectionately known as a “Triple Jumbo,” is a proud three-time graduate of Tufts University. She first earned her Bachelor of Science from Jackson College at Tufts University in Medford. She continued at Tufts University in Boston, completing her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and her specialized Certificate in Orthodontics.

She joined her father in his practice in 1992. With a commitment to education and orthodontic excellence, Dr. Lisa stayed closely connected to Tufts as an assistant clinical professor of orthodontics from 1992-2008. She became a celebrated Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 1999, affirming her expertise and dedication to quality patient care. Dr. Lisa specializes in treating everyone seeking treatment—children, adolescents, and adults, including those requiring orthognathic surgery alongside their orthodontic treatment.

Outside of the Office

When she’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending sunny summer days golfing with family and friends. During winter, she finds relaxation and balance through her yoga practice. Dr. Lisa and her husband, Dr. Gregory Livanos, have one son, Peter, who they love dearly.

Dr. Gregory Livanos

Education & Experience

Dr. Gregory Livanos began his journey with a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, later receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. School of Dental Hospital. After graduation, he honed his skills during a general practice residency at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, NY, before practicing general dentistry for six years in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Driven by an increased passion for orthodontics, Dr. Livanos earned his Certificate in Orthodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is also board-certified, achieving Diplomate status with the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005. Before joining the Auburn community, he practiced in New Jersey and served as a faculty member at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Livanos maintains memberships with:

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Association
  • Massachusetts Dental Society

His professional excellence was recognized alongside Dr. Lisa, receiving the 2006 national APSE Employers Award and the Massachusetts Council of Human Services Award for Small Businesses.

Outside of the Office

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Livanos is known around here as a dedicated athlete. He enjoys running year-round, biking, golfing, and snowboarding during the winter. Dr. Livanos also completed the New York City Marathon, though recently, he’s been enjoying golf’s fair links more frequently.
