Continuing the Family Legacy

Board-certified orthodontist Dr. Lisa M. Giarrusso joined her father in practice in 1992. She always knew that she wanted to return home to practice with her dad.

Meet Dr. Giarrusso

Education & Experience

Dr. Lisa Giarrusso is affectionately known as a Triple Jumbo, a three-time graduate of Tufts University. She received her Bachelor of Science from Jackson College of Tufts in Medford.

She then moved to the Boston Campus and completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and finished her Certificate in Orthodontics two years later. She joined the orthodontic faculty after graduation and has always remained affiliated with Tufts.

Dr. Lisa Giarrusso taught from 1992-2008 as an assistant clinical professor of orthodontics. She achieved board-certification when she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 1999. She has extensive experience treating both children and adults, as well as treating numerous patients who require orthognathic surgery in combination with their orthodontics.

  • Massachusetts Dental Society
  • Tufts Association of Orthodontics
  • Tufts University Dental Alumni Association (Past President)

Additionally, she’s still involved with the Bancroft school, and Drs. Giarrusso and Livanos are the 2006 recipients of the national APSE Employers Award and the 2006 Massachusetts Council of Human Services Award for Small Businesses.

 

Outside of the Office

Dr. Lisa enjoys playing golf in the summer months with her family and friends. She prefers her yoga practice in winter rather than snow-sport adventures.

Dr. Lisa Giarrusso and Dr. Gregory Livanos are married and have a son named Peter.
