Fiction: Invisalign trays are painful
Many people believe that Invisalign trays will be uncomfortable or irritating because that’s what they’ve heard about traditional braces. However, Invisalign does not use the same wire and bracket approach as metal braces.
Fact: Invisalign trays are very comfortable
Invisalign is made from the flexible SmartTrack material and is completely customized to your smile. Unlike braces, there are no wires or brackets that need to be tightened over time. When directed by your orthodontics, you will replace your Invisalign tray every 1-2 weeks. During this process, you will notice some pressure as your teeth start to shift, but that will subside after a day or two.
Fiction: Invisalign is more expensive than braces
Traditional braces have evolved over the years, making them more affordable and accessible. Many believe that Invisalign will cost more since it is a newer technology. But, do we have some good news for you!

You will be able to eat and drink whatever you want during treatment with Invisalign. It’s easy to keep your aligners clear, clean, and in good condition. Remove and rinse them with an approved solution and store them in a special care kit.
